J&K Govt Bans Use Of Pen Drives In Offices To Strengthen Cyber Security

Jammu, Aug 25: To enhance cyber security and safeguard sensitive government data, the Jammu and Kashmir Administration has ordered an immediate ban on the use of USB and pen drives in all official devices across departments in the Civil Secretariat, district offices, and other administrative units.
Departments have been directed to adopt the secure GovDrive platform for data storage and sharing, while any exception for pen drive use will require formal approval and controlled whitelisting.
The order warns that violations will invite strict disciplinary action.
