In a bold assertion on Tuesday, Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), declared that the upcoming INDIA bloc’s poll manifesto aims to serve as a visionary document. This manifesto envisions transforming Bihar into the number one state in the country.
Yadav spoke to reporters ahead of the highly anticipated release of the manifesto, stating, “We have a vision for the state and a roadmap for its growth. It can also be called the ‘Tejashwi Pran Patra’ (Tejashwi’s Resolution Document).” This highlights his focus on outlining clear strategies for Bihar’s development.
The manifesto, positioned as the guiding document for the opposition coalition, is set to be unveiled later today. Yadav’s declaration showcases his commitment to provide a comprehensive plan to the citizens.
Addressing the media, Yadav did not hold back in his criticism of the NDA, pointing out their lack of clarity regarding the chief ministerial candidate and the tardiness in releasing their manifesto. “We announced our CM face ahead of the polls and are releasing our manifesto today. What about the NDA? They have neither declared their CM candidate nor released their manifesto. They simply copy our promises,” he remarked, indicating a strong confidence in the INDIA bloc’s approach.
Targeting prominent figures, including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the RJD leader asserted that both leaders have neglected to provide substantial progress for Bihar. “Whenever the PM comes to Bihar, he only abuses opposition leaders and indulges in negative politics,” Yadav charged, reflecting his frustration with the current administration.
The political landscape in Bihar is gearing up for the upcoming elections, as the 243-member Bihar Assembly will conduct polls in two phases — on November 6 and November 11. The counting of votes will take place on November 14. This timeline sets the stage for a competitive electoral battle, with the INDIA bloc positioning itself as a robust alternative to the ruling coalition.
