Offline registration for Amarnath Yatra begins in Jammu

JAMMU, JUNE 30: In the run-up to 38-day-long Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra which is scheduled to begin on July 3 via Baltal and Pahalgam routes, the offline registration has commenced in Jammu on Monday.

Scores of devotees flock the registration centres installed by the administration in Jammu.

The devotees were swept with religious fervour and gaiety and had no fear which had earlier emanated due to Pahalgam bloodshed.

Reverberating “Bam Bam Bhole”, the pilgrims hailed the arrangements by the administration and said these are apt and they are quite enthusiastic about the holy pilgrimage. One of the devotees said, “I want to urge people to visit J&K and there is peace all around. The security and other arrangements are praiseworthy.”

The CRPF has ensured robust multi-layered security along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway for safety and security of pilgrims of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra

Robust security infrastructure, upgradation in personnel deployment, enhanced surveillance tactics, seamless coordination among the forces and cutting-edge monitoring system has been laid emphasizes from the security standpoint.

It is learnt that the first batch of the pilgrims will be flagged off from the Jammu base camp on July 2, 2025 and holy yatra will officially commence on July 3, 2025 through Baltal and Pahalgam routes.
