On Sunday, Jammu and Kashmir Police and Border Security Force (BSF) collaborated to conduct a thorough search operation near the International Border in Jammu. This operation, taking place just before Independence Day, reflects heightened security measures in the region.
The operation commenced around 6 PM and lasted nearly two hours, focusing on areas such as Aik Nallah and Kool Kalan, which fall under the jurisdiction of Arnia Police Station. A police spokesman confirmed that the joint effort aimed to enhance security and maintain vigilance in border areas.
During the operation, security personnel meticulously checked approximately 15 houses and ‘kullas’ (shacks) in the targeted region. These checks are part of a broader routine security and area domination strategy that authorities have ramped up as the nation nears its independence celebrations.
Officials reported that the situation remained stable throughout the search operation, with no incidents of violence or disturbances recorded. This effective coordination between police and BSF highlights their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of residents in border areas.
The ongoing efforts to strengthen security measures serve as a proactive approach to prevent any potential threats, especially during significant national events like Independence Day. Local residents expressed their support for these operations, emphasizing the importance of safety in their communities.
As part of these comprehensive security measures, both police and BSF personnel continue to engage in extensive patrolling and surveillance in sensitive areas along the border. Authorities encourage community members to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to ensure enhanced security for all.
