Chief Minister Omar Abdullah inspected key development projects in Srinagar on Wednesday morning, aiming to enhance urban infrastructure. This on-site assessment includes a review of essential public facilities throughout the city. Abdullah’s tour is part of an ongoing initiative to uplift civic amenities, emphasizing improved services for residents.
In a detailed post on X, the chief minister’s office elaborated on the objectives of the tour. The efforts aim to improve urban infrastructure and public services substantially. Abdullah’s commitment to advancing civil works shows his focus on facilitating a better quality of life for Srinagar’s inhabitants.
During the tour, Abdullah visited multiple locations, including the proposed bridge at Barbar Shah. The CM’s office stated, “Once completed, the bridge will play a vital role in reducing traffic congestion for commuters heading into Shehar-e-Khaas. This will ensure smoother transit and improved urban mobility.”
The chief minister also reviewed the new building of the Maharaj Gunj Urban Primary Health Centre. The upgraded facility effectively combines modern healthcare infrastructure with the area’s historical essence. This initiative will significantly enhance healthcare delivery and patient care in the heart of ‘Shehar-e-Khaas,’ contributing to the community’s well-being.
Accompanying the chief minister were Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, various ministers, MLAs, and CM’s advisor Nasir Aslam Wani.
