Drass, Jul 25: The Indian Army celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas 2026 at Lamochen View Point, located at an altitude of 11,500 feet in Drass, with patriotic fervour.
As per a statement, Lieutenant General Ritesh Bhalla, GOC Fire and Fury Corps, hoisted the Tricolour as the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Maj Gen Ashim Kohli (Retd), a Kargil War Hero and CEO, called it the most unique flag hoisting event, with iconic battle sites—Batra Top, Tiger Hill, and Tololing—clearly visible in the backdrop.
