In a significant victory for law enforcement, Parminder Singh alias Pindi, a prominent member of the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), has been extradited from the UAE to India. Punjab’s Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav, announced on social media that the extradition resulted from a well-coordinated effort by a four-member police team. This specialized unit began its journey on September 24 to Abu Dhabi following a red corner notice issued by the Batala police.
Yadav revealed that Pindi has ties with notorious foreign-based terrorists, such as Harwinder Singh alias Rinda and Happy Passia. These linkages raise concerns about the ongoing international terrorist networks threatening India’s security.
During a press briefing, Yadav emphasized the importance of collaboration between various agencies. He stated, “Our team worked tirelessly with both the Ministry of External Affairs and UAE authorities to ensure that our red corner notice was executed legally and quickly.”
Authorities suspect that Parminder’s involvement in serial petrol bomb attacks and violent assaults in Batala has severely impacted local communities.
