Sat Sharma Slams INDI Alliance for Opportunism in Politics

On September 30, 2023, J&K BJP President Sat Sharma condemned the Congress, National Conference (NC), PDP, and other political parties for their opportunist politics, which he claims has hindered both regional and national development. Speaking during the inauguration of the Namo Exhibition at Gulshan Chowk, Bandipora, Sharma voiced his discontent over the persistent betrayal of the people by the INDI alliance, a coalition of various parties.

The event occurred as part of the ongoing Seva Parv, celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. Senior BJP officials, including General Secretary Anwar Khan and District President Mudassir Farooq Jan, attended the exhibition that showcases the milestones of Modi’s leadership.

Addressing attendees, Sat Sharma did not hold back in his criticism. He argued that dynastic parties like Congress, NC, and PDP have thrived on nepotism and corruption for decades. Their self-interested politics, he claimed, have plunged Jammu & Kashmir into despair, robbing the youth of their aspirations.

“These parties ensured that J&K remained stagnant while they feasted on power and privilege,” said Sharma. He contrasted their approach with that of Prime Minister Modi, asserting that the latter has transformed J&K into a model of progress through transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance since 2014.

Sharma highlighted various achievements of Modi’s administration, from expanding infrastructure and implementing economic reforms to empowering marginalized groups and bolstering national security. “The difference between the empty promises of the INDI alliance and the substantive results delivered by PM Modi is evident to every citizen today,” he emphasized.

Anwar Khan emphasized the exhibition as a testament to Modi’s life and vision, stating, “It reflects sacrifice and a commitment to the nation. In contrast, the INDI alliance symbolizes entrenched corruption and betrayal.”

Meanwhile, Mudassir Farooq Jan remarked on the global recognition that Modi has brought to both India and Jammu & Kashmir. He declared that the BJP will continue its mission of spreading awareness about the government’s achievements to the masses.

This event demonstrates the BJP’s strategy to consolidate support in Jammu & Kashmir, highlighting their governance philosophy while critiquing the lack of progress attributed to their political opponents.
